Dr. Patrick D. Hannaway 

Dr. Hannaway is a Colorado native. He was born in Greeley and raised in Colorado Springs where he attended Doherty High School. After high school, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas and graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. 


Dr. Hannaway's academic success paralleled his athletic achievements. He was named Colorado High School Division 5A Mr. Basketball and Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year in high school. Later as a collegiate athlete, he was a first team selection to ESPN’s First Team Academic All American.  


Dr. Hannaway is married to his wife, Anne Hannaway, and has a beautiful daughter. They are all avid dog lovers, participate in many outdoor activities, and enjoy spending time with family and friends. 


Dr. Hannaway believes in giving patients exactly what they need in regards to their oral health. He strives to cultivate Patient-Doctor relationships by ensuring all patients feel secure and as comfortable as possible during their visits. He looks forward to meeting you soon.

Dr. John W. Thousand

Dr. John Thousand IV received his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder before attending the Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine for his graduate dental degree.  As a student at the School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Thousand accelerated in surgical aspects of dentistry with a concentration in implantology.  By his senior year he was awarded the 2012 Student Research Grant from the Academy of Implant Dentistry Research Foundation, which he used to study the effects of inflammation around implants.

Dr. Thousand completed his specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where he received a Master’s Degree in Periodontology.  As a resident he conducted research studying the effects of bone grafting materials on the sinus floor topography as well as the effect of various cementing techniques on residual cement around implant restorations.

After successful completion of his Masters residency, Dr. Thousand was accepted into the 1-year Implantology Fellowship program. As a fellow he pursued additional research in bone grafting techniques and expanded his skill set in complex regenerative and prosthetic implant dentistry.  Dr. Thousand has lectured internationally on the topics of periodontal plastic surgery and implant dentistry with an emphasis on final esthetic outcomes.

Dr. Thousand specializes in a complete spectrum of periodontal therapies including: dental implants, advanced bone grafting techniques, full mouth rehabilitation, dental laser treatment, periodontal plastic surgery, and conscience sedation.

Dr. Thousand loves Colorado's rock climbing, hiking and snowboarding, but when on the coast loves wakeboarding, kite boarding, and surfing.
